Banshimoku Pre-Releases 'FREEMAN' Ahead of Second EP

The Tokyo two-piece rock band Banshimoku has released a new single. "FREEMAN" is available now on digital platforms ahead of the group's second EP, 'なんてHAPPY LUCKY,' due April 22.

The song's theme is "freedom," pairing a brisk melody with the powerful vocals of frontman Chigashion. It was written and composed by drummer Iohara Yamato.

A studio session live video for the song premiered on March 11.

The band is scheduled to perform at the SXSW 2026 TOKYO CALLING showcase in Austin, Texas on March 13. Their upcoming Japan tour, set for May and June, will feature support from artists including テレビ大陸音頭 (Television Tairiku Ondo). The tour concludes with a solo show at Shibuya O-WEST in Tokyo.

The new EP 'なんてHAPPY LUCKY' will contain five tracks, including "FREEMAN."
