BL Manga 'Sheep in Wolf's Clothing' Gets Live-Action Film from Amazon MGM Studios

The popular BL manga Sheep in Wolf's Clothing (羊の皮を着たケモノ) by Kyugo is getting a live-action film adaptation. Amazon MGM Studios is producing the project, which is set to premiere as a special screening at the 39th Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) in October 2026.

The film will be directed by Yang Liping, who previously won the Amazon Prime Video Take One Award at the 36th TIFF. Suzuki Nobuyuki will play the dual role of Jun Igawa/Keigo Tatsumi, and Kashiwagi Yu from the group Cho Tokkyu will play Daichi Kusakabe.

The story follows university student Daichi, who becomes drawn to Jun, the seemingly perfect fiancé his sister brings home. As Daichi's feelings grow, he begins to suspect Jun has a hidden side. The manga is described as a boys' love story that begins with a bad end.

The latest volume of the manga, Sheep in Wolf's Clothing 4, is scheduled for release in Japan on December 25, 2026. The first three volumes are currently available. The film's official screening times at TIFF are set for October 28 and October 31, 2026, at theaters in Tokyo's Hibiya and Marunouchi districts.
