Chou Kaguyahime! Celebrates Box Office Success with New PV and Theater Perks

The anime film 'Chou Kaguyahime!' has released a new promotional video. The film, a Netflix exclusive directed by Seigo Yamashita, is now playing in over 100 theaters across Japan.

The 'super hit' PV features scenes from the film set to the ending theme, "ray (Chou Kaguyahime! Version)". The song is a cover by the main characters Kaguya and Yachiyo, originally by BUMP OF CHICKEN and rearranged by TAKU INOUE.

Since its global Netflix debut, the film has topped domestic charts and ranked in the top 10 in multiple international regions. Its Japanese theatrical release, which began in February, has seen consecutive sold-out screenings. Box office revenue has surpassed 1.3 billion yen.

The film's soundtrack features songs from notable Vocaloid producers including ryo (supercell), kz (livetune), 40mP, HoneyWorks, Aqu3ra, and yuigot.

Starting March 27, Japanese theaters will begin distributing a third wave of audience gifts: a sheet of stickers featuring chibi versions of Kaguya. A new 'welcome announcement' featuring character voiceovers will also play before screenings, with Kaguya featured for the first week. The announcements will change weekly through April 30.

'Chou Kaguyahime!' is streaming worldwide on Netflix. The new PV is available on the film's official YouTube channel.
