Girls Archives. Launches as HYBE and INCS toenter's Real-Virtual Girl Group

A new Japanese-Korean girl group, Girls Archives., has launched through a partnership between HYBE's NEB division and Japanese entertainment company INCS toenter. The five-member group will debut with a single tied to a global Netflix film.

The group's pre-debut single, "Reborn," is the theme song for the Netflix animated film THE RIBBON HERO. The film, based on Osamu Tezuka's Ribon no Kishi, begins its worldwide exclusive distribution on Netflix on August 8, 2026.

"Reborn" will be digitally released via Universal Music Japan on August 7. The song was produced by SHAUN, known for the viral hit "Way Back Home," and the Japanese team HoneyWorks. The official music video for the track was released on June 23.

Girls Archives. is conceptualized as a hybrid group where real-world members interact with virtual characters, or "Diaries," that evolve from their stories. HYBE's NEB division, responsible for transmedia storytelling projects with BTS and ENHYPEN, handled the concept and story design. INCS toenter, which has worked with artists like supercell and Eve, leads the virtual artist production. Illustrator LAM, known for work on Hatsune Miku V6, designed the virtual characters.

The members are YUISA, ENA, SEOYEON, HINARI, and SOJEONG. The group plans to release content gradually across social media, YouTube, and virtual platforms leading to their official debut.

A second trailer for THE RIBBON HERO featuring the song is also available. The film is directed by Yuki Igarashi with music by MONACA's Keiichi Okabe and Ryuichi Takada.

The group's official website and social media accounts on X, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok are now active.
