Godiego releases first new song in 11 years for 50th anniversary

Godiego will release a new digital single, "My Dear / My Dear," on November 11, 2026. It is their first new song in 11 years, released for the band's 50th anniversary.

The song features lyrics by Elvis Woodstock (Lily Franky), cover photography by Leslie Kee, and co-production by Seiji Kameda. It is the lead track for the "Godiego 50th Anniversary EP -Christmas-," a four-song EP scheduled for a physical CD release in Japan on December 16.

A two-disc set pairing the new EP with a member-selected "Synth Mix" best-of album will also be released on the same date.

Godiego debuted in 1976 and is known for hits like "Gandhara" and "Monkey Magic." The band is currently on its 50th Anniversary "Tour of Gratitude" across Japan, with a concert in Nepal scheduled for November 22—their first performance there in 46 years.
