Hana Hope releases 'Hearts Glow' with producer David Baron

Hana Hope has released the music video for her new single 'Hearts Glow'. The song serves as the ending theme for the original anime 'Goodbye Lara'. The track was produced by David Baron, known for his work with Lana Del Rey and Shawn Mendes, and recorded in Woodstock, New York.

The song begins with acoustic guitar before expanding into a full band arrangement. The lyrics express a desire for self-acceptance. In a statement, Hana Hope described the track as a letter to the anime's protagonist and to anyone searching for their place. 'Hearts Glow' is her first single of 2026.

The accompanying music video was directed by Yoshi Nakayama. It depicts an inner self grappling with anxiety and a journey toward liberation, set against natural landscapes.

The anime 'Goodbye Lara' is the 15th-anniversary project from Studio Kinema Citrus, the studio behind 'Made in Abyss' and 'My Happy Marriage'. It is a modern retelling of 'The Little Mermaid', set 200 years in the future at Lake Biwa.

The single includes two additional tracks. 'september' is a medium-tempo song about life after moving to the US, also produced by David Baron. 'Scorpio Skies' is a pop track produced by MONJOE.

A physical CD single is scheduled for release on August 5 in Japan. It will be available in two editions: a first-press paper jacket version and an anime edition with a non-credit ending video on a Blu-ray disc.

Hana Hope will perform two solo concerts in Japan under the 'Hearts Glow' title in August. She is also scheduled to perform at several international festivals this summer, including After Work Fest in Malaysia, LaLaLa Fest in Indonesia, and Summer Sonic in Osaka.

The anime 'Goodbye Lara' began airing in Japan on July 5.
