Hatsune Miku V6 Reveals New Visual and English Demo

Crypton Future Media has unveiled the package illustration and a new English singing demo for Hatsune Miku V6. The updated Vocaloid software is scheduled for release on April 14, 2026.

The new visual was created by illustrator and character designer LAM. Crypton's Hatsune Miku development producer, Wataru Sasaki, described the design as having a "modern, airy atmosphere" while maintaining Miku's universal character.

A demo video showcasing the software's English vocal capabilities has also been released. It features a one-chorus segment of a new commemorative song, "Like a Shooting Star," written by music creator Crusher.

Sasaki noted that feedback from an Early Access version released in December 2023 was incorporated into the final product in collaboration with engineers from Yamaha Corporation. He also hinted at additional features for the official release.

Hatsune Miku V6 will include a copy of the DAW software Cubase LE. Pre-orders are open on Crypton's digital download store, SONICWIRE. The starter pack is priced at 24,200 yen, with a voice bank available for 10,780 yen. Discounted upgrade pricing is offered to users who own previous versions.

Crypton also confirmed a subsequent VOCALOID product, described as "even more proficient in English," is in development.
