Hip-Hop Short Anime 'Shadow Beat' Releases Sixth Track 'Blue Flame'

The hip-hop short anime project Shadow Beat releases its sixth song, "Blue Flame," on June 12, 2026. The track features MC Zenchiku DOPENESS and production by DJ Mitsu the Beats.

PCI MUSIC will handle the song's worldwide digital distribution. A music video will premiere on the project's official YouTube channel at 5:00 PM JST on the same day.

"Blue Flame" focuses on the character Aomi Ruri. The song depicts her confronting past trauma and finding the resolve to move forward, supported by her friends.

Zenchiku DOPENESS is a rapper and singer-songwriter from Tokyo, known for his versatile flow and freestyle skills.

DJ Mitsu the Beats, based in Sendai, is a beatmaker and producer for the group GAGLE.

The music video's concept art was created by illustrator Saito Kyufu. The video is designed to sync with the sixth episode of the anime.

Shadow Beat is a collaborative project between creative company Plott and Shogakukan's CoroCoro Comic editorial department. It follows "Class 5" students who express their inner struggles through lo-fi hip-hop raps.
