The Top 40 J-POP songs - Week 21 of 2026 – Only Hits Japan Charts

This week's J-Pop chart is headlined by consistency at the very top, but defined by a historic surge just below. CORTIS holds at #1 with "REDRED" for a second week. The most dramatic move, however, belongs to Hikaru Utada, whose "パッパパラダイス" rockets 27 places to debut in the Top 5 at #4. XG's "HYPNOTIZE" climbs one spot to #2, swapping places with King Gnu's "AIZO," which falls to #3.

The upper chart sees significant activity from both established and new artists. Ado's "AiAiA" continues its rise, moving up three to #6, while "TOKYO DRIFT" by ONE OR EIGHT breaks into the Top 10 at #7. In contrast, Ado's other entries, "Vivarium" and "KIRA," slide to #9 and #10, respectively.

Notable climbs deeper in the chart include CHANMINA's "TEST ME," jumping seven to #15, and yama's "飛ぼうよ," rising five to #24. A re-entry also shakes up the bottom of the list, with Mori Calliope's "LET'S JUST CRASH" returning at #40. The other new entry is "See U in Hell" from the *Devil May Cry* soundtrack at #32.
