Kenshiro Joins Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves as Season 2 DLC

Kenshiro, the protagonist of the classic manga and anime series Fist of the North Star, is now available as a downloadable character in SNK's fighting game Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. The character was added today as the final fighter in the game's Season Pass 2.

Two character trailers were released, one with Japanese voice acting by Takeuchi Shunsuke and another with English voice acting by Clayton Alexander.

In City of the Wolves, Kenshiro utilizes the Hokuto Shinken martial art, characterized by fast, heavy strikes and the use of pressure points to inflict status effects. SNK describes him as a technical, high-damage fighter whose battles hinge on precise timing and spacing.

His story has been integrated into the game's single-player modes. In the RPG-style EOST Mode, Kenshiro awakens in South Town and teams up with series protagonist Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui to investigate a mysterious miasma. In Arcade Mode, he finds himself in the modern city and joins a new King of Fighters tournament alongside Terry and others to confront the villain Geese Howard.

The new anime adaptation, Fist of the North Star, is currently streaming worldwide exclusively on Prime Video.

SNK also confirmed that Season 3 for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will begin in July 2026. Details on the upcoming season's content have not been announced.

A Mid-Year Sale for the game is currently live across all platforms—PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. The Legend Edition bundle, which includes the base game and both Season Passes, is discounted by 40%.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves launched globally on April 24, 2025.
