Kizuna AI Releases First Halloween Single 'Monster Factory'

Kizuna AI has released a new single and music video titled "Monster Factory." The track is the virtual artist's first Halloween-themed song.

The song was written and composed by Kenmochi Hidefumi, known for his pop-dance arrangements. The music video, directed by Yuya Utamura of SPECIMEN, is set in a "secret monster factory" where Kizuna AI plays a factory director trying to create frightening monsters, but only manages to make cute ones.

Choreography is by Iripon-sensei, and costume design is by mitti, who also designed the outfit for Kizuna AI's previous single "My Love." The jacket illustration was created by Tam-U.

Kenmochi Hidefumi described the process of creating a song for a factory director who is "full of motivation but completely ineffective." Director Yuya Utamura said he focused heavily on the animation and world-building to match the new costume.

The single "Monster Factory" is available now on streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music.

A LINE MUSIC campaign in Japan offers a digital wallpaper to users who stream the song over 630 times during the promotion period. The company has also launched a line of commemorative goods, including acrylic dioramas, tapestries, and keychains, available for order until October 26.

The company also announced the "Kizuna AI WORLD TOUR GO TO 2027" campaign and is seeking event and collaboration partners.
