Kyary Pamyu Pamyu releases 'KURU KURU HARAJUKU' music video

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu released the official music video for her 2025 single "KURU KURU HARAJUKU" on July 24.

The video was directed by Jun Tamuki, her longtime collaborator. Tamuki has directed 16 of her videos since her 2011 debut with "PON PON PON."

It uses "4D Views" volumetric capture technology to create a three-dimensional, frame-by-frame performance synced to the song's audio.

She will host her first curated festival, "PAMYU FES," on August 22. The lineup includes Atarashii Gakko no Leaders, Kishidan, Kaela Kimura, FRUITS ZIPPER, and MONGOL800.

In a statement, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu said the video involved detailed choreography direction by Tamuki for each note of the song. She described the result as a new type of work where sound and movement are perfectly synchronized.
