Lovely Summer-chan releases 'Wind Song', ending theme for drama 'Game Change'

Lovely Summer-chan's new single 'Wind Song' is now available on digital platforms. The track serves as the ending theme for the BS-TBS drama 'Game Change', which began airing in January.

The song was co-produced with the band empathy, whose vocalist and guitarist, Okunaka Koichiro, described the collaborative process. "It was my first time sharing the process of a song taking shape equally with someone," he said. "There were continuous, unexpected resonances."

A special website for the song has launched, featuring a retro design. The site includes links to streaming services, lyrics, comments from the artist and collaborators, and behind-the-scenes details on the jacket artwork by designer Aketara Shirome.

Shirome, who also created the single's cover art, cited Lovely Summer-chan's 2016 song 'Watashi no Uta' as a personal creative theme song. "When I first heard 'Wind Song', it felt like I was seeing what comes after that song and the film 'TOKYO INTERNET LOVE'," he wrote. The cover design changes impression based on viewing angle and distance.

'Wind Song' is available now. The digital single includes the main track, an acoustic version, and an instrumental. Production and arrangement credits are shared between Lovely Summer-chan and empathy.
