MFS releases 'SANGO,' announces special band-set concert

Rapper MFS has released a new single, "SANGO." The track is produced by Tokyo-based DJ and beatmaker Bungo. The song is a dancehall and dub track.

Grammy-winning engineer Liam Nolan handled the mixing, with mastering by Stuart Hawkes of London's Metropolis Studios.

MFS will perform a solo concert, "MFS SPECIAL BANDSET," on September 20 in Tokyo. The show will feature a live band arrangement for the first time, with guitarist HIMI, percussionist Jackson, bassist Makoto Togashi, drummer Manaw, and keyboardist/saxophonist Hinata Ishii.

Ahead of the concert, a live session video has been released. The session features performances of "PRIDE," "SANGO," and an unreleased track, "Five."

MFS, based in Osaka as part of the hip-hop collective ThaJointz, gained global recognition in 2022 when his track "BOW" was featured in Overwatch 2. The song charted on Spotify's Viral Charts in over 45 countries.
