New 'Expelled from Paradise' Game in Development for 2026

A new video game set in the world of the 2014 sci-fi anime film 'Expelled from Paradise' ('Rakuen Tsuihou') is in development. It will feature a completely original story.

The game is being developed alongside the sequel film 'Expelled from Paradise: Resonance of the Heart' ('Rakuen Tsuihou: Kokoro no Resonance'), scheduled for release in Japanese theaters on November 13, 2026. The game itself is slated for a winter 2026 release.

Specific platforms, pricing, and gameplay details have not been announced. Toei Animation, the studio behind the original film, is handling development.

The original 'Expelled from Paradise' film was directed by Seiji Mizushima ('Fullmetal Alchemist', 'Mobile Suit Gundam 00') and written by Gen Urobuchi ('Puella Magi Madoka Magica', 'Fate/Zero'). It was a fully 3DCG anime set in a future where humanity lives in a digital world. The main creative team, including Mizushima, Urobuchi, character designer Masatsugu Saito, and composer NARASAKI, are reuniting for the 2026 sequel film.

More information will be released on the official website and social media channels X (Twitter), Instagram, and YouTube.
