The single is a piano-rock track about a parting. The animated music video was created by designer Izumi Kanae, who has worked on several of the band's previous videos and merchandise designs.

'We make music so that partings don't just end in sorrow and loneliness,' the band commented. 'We tried to make an album that, even if you listen with your head down, helps you look ahead and feel a little lighter.'

The duo, consisting of vocalist/keyboardist Ayako Kamegai and drummer Kawamura, is known for literary lyrics and a sound they describe as 'lightly singing of impermanence.'

The album 'Bye' is available on major streaming platforms. A second music video for the track 'spice' was also released.
