FromSoftware's award-winning action-adventure game will be adapted into a fully hand-drawn 2D animation. The film has been selected for the Midnight Special section of the 2026 Annecy International Animated Film Festival and the Animation Plus section of the Fantasia International Film Festival.

Kenichi Kutsuna, a web animator known for the 'Kill la Kill' web shorts, directs. The script is by Takuya Sato (Asagao to Kase-san.), with character design by Takahiro Kishida (Haikyu. The Dumpster Battle).

Composer Shuta Hasunuma handles the film's score. The theme song is "Blu" by the late Ryuichi Sakamoto, taken from his compilation The Best of 'Playing the Orchestra 2014'. Hasunuma's new track "Sando" is available for pre-order on major streaming platforms.
