shido releases new digital single 'Roger, Wilco.' on July 15

shido will release a new digital single, "Roger, Wilco.," on July 15, 2026.

The song's title comes from the radio communication phrases "roger" and "wilco," meaning "received" and "will comply."

Musically, the track adopts a nostalgic EDM sound with a retro-future atmosphere, arranged by Numa. Lyricist and composer odiμsblue returns from previous shido releases.

The accompanying music video blends live-action and animation for the first time in shido's work. It follows a girl in her daily life as she chases a mysterious signal from a rabbit-like entity somewhere in space.

"'Roger, Wilco.' is a song that came about more naturally than even I expected," shido commented. "I created it by surrendering more to my emotions than before, so I was a little anxious at first. But thanks to Numa's arrangement and the reactions during production, I came to feel that 'this version of myself is okay too.'"
