Strawberry Prince Anime Film Hits Amazon Prime Video Globally

The anime film Strawberry Prince Movie: The Beginning Story ~Strawberry School Festival.~ will be available on Amazon Prime Video starting March 20, 2026.

The movie, which premiered in Japanese theaters in July 2024, chronicles the origin story of the 2.5-dimensional idol group Strawberry Prince. The group's six members—Riken, Root, Koron, Satomi, Jeru, and Nanamori—voice their animated counterparts.

Strawberry Prince, formed in 2016, is built around content creators known for song covers and gaming streams. Their official YouTube channel has surpassed 10.4 billion total views and 4.38 million subscribers as of March 2026.

The group completed a five-dome tour in 2022 and an 11-venue, 44-date national arena tour in 2023. They made their first appearance on the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen that same year. Their first single, Hajimari no Monogatari, and their best album, Strawberry Prince Forever, both debuted at number one on the Oricon and Billboard Japan charts.
