Tenmaku no Jaadugar Reveals New Cast and Mongolia Arc PV

The TV anime 'Tenmaku no Jaadugar' (Tent of the Jade Ornament) has released a new promotional video for its upcoming Mongolia story arc. The PV introduces several new characters—the wives and consorts of the Mongol Empire.

Science SARU, the studio behind 'Dandadan' and 'Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!', is producing the adaptation. The anime premiered last week with a one-hour special.

A third wave of voice cast members was also announced. Kuno Misaki will play Sorqoqtani, the intelligent principal wife of the fourth prince Tolui. Asai Ayaka voices Möge, the fourth consort of Emperor Ögedei. Shintani Mayumi plays Kirgistani, Ögedei's third consort, described as emotionally volatile.

The identity of the voice actor for Böräqchin, the First Empress (Great Khatun), remains a secret. The character is portrayed as a calm, dignified woman who secretly schemes concerning the empire's future.

Based on the award-winning manga by Tomato Soup, the story follows Shitara, a young woman captured by the Mongol Empire who vows to destroy it from within. She forms a fateful bond with Dörbetene, another consort harboring deep resentment.

The anime's opening theme 'Stella' is performed by SEKAI NO OWARI. The ending theme artist has not been announced.

Directed by Yamada Naoko and Abel Gongora, 'Tenmaku no Jaadugar' airs in Japan on the TV Asahi network and BS Asahi. It is also streaming on multiple platforms, including Netflix and Prime Video. The series was selected for the TV Films competition at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival in France.
