Toua releases pre-album single 'If you were my lover...'

Toua has released the final pre-release single from her upcoming debut digital album. "If you were my lover..." is available now on streaming platforms.

The song is a heartbreak ballad built on nostalgic piano melodies and bedroom pop production. It details lingering feelings for someone who could not become a lover, capturing the ache of being bound by the ambiguous distance of "friendship."

Lyrics were written by Toua and Yuki Kokubo. Music was composed by Stand Alone, Yu-ki Kokubo, and YHEL.

The track is the last piece leading up to Toua's first digital album, "This is Toua," scheduled for release on September 16, 2026. Three other singles—"ARU ARU ARU," "Type B," and "Haute Couture"—have been released previously.

Following the album's release, Toua will hold her first solo live concert, "Toua 1st LIVE 'This is Toua,'" at Zepp Shinjuku in Tokyo on September我们这个月20, 2026. Tickets are currently on sale via Japanese ticketing services.
