'Trapped in a Dating Sim' Season 2 Premieres July 8 with New Characters

The second season of the anime 'Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs' will premiere on July 8, 2026. A new key visual introduces antagonist characters voiced by Ayane Sakura and Yui Ogura.

The visual features returning protagonists Leon, Olivia, Angelica, and Marie alongside antagonists from the first season: Hertrude, princess of the Fanoss Duchy, and the Black Knight Bandel. A new character, Hertrude's younger sister Hertrauda, is also shown. Hertrauda will be voiced by Yui Ogura.

The series will broadcast on Japanese channels AT-X, TOKYO MX, and BS Nittele. Streaming on platforms like ABEMA and d Anime Store begins July 8, with other streaming sites starting July 13.

A special pre-air program featuring the main cast will air on AT-X on July 2. The one-hour show includes Leon's voice actor Takuya Otsuka, Olivia's voice actor Kana Ichinose, and Angelica's voice actor Ai Fairouz, with MC Tenjin Taro.

New character designs and profiles for the season have been released. Hertrude is voiced by Ayane Sakura. Other new characters include Kyle, an elf servant voiced by Junko Takeuchi, and Mylene, the queen of the Holfort Kingdom voiced by Sayaka Ohara.

The staff remains largely unchanged from the first season. Director is Kazuya Miura, series composition by Kento Ihara, and character design by Masahiko Suzuki. Animation production is by ENGI.
