TV Anime 'BLACK TORCH' Reveals Episode 3 Synopsis and Preview

The official website for the TV anime BLACK TORCH has released the synopsis and preview images for its third episode, "WHAT'S MY NAME?" The episode airs in Japan on July 18.

Under the protection of Kishi Momokichi Ichika, Niro is being escorted to the secret government agency, the Kogi Onmitsu-kyoku. During the journey, tensions flare between Niro, Rago, and Ichika, who despises mononoke. Their transport truck is then attacked.

The anime, based on the manga by Takaki Tsuyoshi, began airing on July 4.

The series follows Niro, a high school boy raised as a ninja descendant with the ability to talk to animals. He encounters a wounded black cat named Rago, who is actually a legendary mononoke once known as the "Black Omen."

The opening theme "FREEZE ME UP" is performed by SiM, and the ending theme "Groooovy" is by I Don't Like Mondays.

The main cast includes Ryota Suzuki as Iwagami Niro, Yoji Ueda as Rago, and Ayaka Senbongi as Kishi Momokichi Ichika. The anime is produced by 100studio, directed by Kei Mabuchi, with series composition by Ichikawa Juoemon.
