TV Anime 'BLACK TORCH' Reveals Episode 9 Preview

The anime series 'BLACK TORCH' has released a synopsis and preview images for its ninth episode, titled "ONE." The episode airs in Japan on August 29.

In the upcoming episode, Jiro, defeated by Tengu, is confronted by members of the Special Affairs First Division. Having received all of Rago's demonic energy, Jiro is placed under their surveillance. Determined to retrieve Rago from Tengu, Jiro ignores the division's orders. Overwhelmed by Rago's power, he loses his sense of self and begins to rage.

The opening theme "FREEZE ME UP" is performed by the band SiM. The ending theme "Groooovy" is by I Don't Like Mondays.

The series follows Jiro, a high schooler raised as a ninja descendant who can talk to animals. He encounters a wounded black cat named Rago, who is actually a legendary monster once called the "Black Ominous Star." The story centers on their bond amid conflicts with other monsters and a secret government agency.

The main voice cast includes Ryota Suzuki as Jiro, Yoji Ueda as Rago, and Ayaka Sembongi as Ichika Kishimoji. The anime is produced by 100studio.
