wave to earth announces new album 'bad pieces' and world tour

Korean indie rock trio wave to earth will release their new album 'bad pieces' on August 7. The band will also embark on a world tour this fall.

The Live Nation-produced 'the pieces tour' begins September 4 in Vancouver. It will cover 21 North American cities, including stops at New York's Radio City Music Hall and Los Angeles's Greek Theatre. The tour continues in Asia throughout November, with concerts scheduled for Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Tokyo.

In Japan, the band will perform at Osaka's BIGCAT on November 26 and Tokyo's Zepp DiverCity on November 27.

Daniel Kim described the new album as feeling "closer to the essence of wave to earth than ever before." He said the band's vision was for each member to express their own musicality within the group. The album's title was inspired by the phrase "Bed Peace" from John Lennon and Yoko Ono's 1969 bed-in protest.

The lead single "heaven and hell" is now available. The band says the track explores the struggle to maintain a childlike innocence and purity.

The band's momentum is strong, coming off a 2024 EP that debuted in Spotify's global top 5 and a completely sold-out 29-city North American tour.

Demand is high, as evidenced by their three-night Olympic Hall series in Seoul selling out in minutes earlier this year.

Tour tickets are available through Live Nation. The single "heaven and hell" can be streamed here.
