Japanese singer Nanao signs with Philippine label KDR Music House

Japanese singer Nanao has signed a contract with the Philippine music label KDR Music House.

The project is centered on creating a new genre dubbed 'JP-POP' (Japanese Pinoy-POP), which blends Tagalog lyrics with J-POP sounds.

Nanao has already appeared on Philippine television and radio to announce the deal, including the morning show 'Good Morning Kuya' on UNTV.

KDR Music House is affiliated with the major music platform Wish 107.5. The platform's YouTube channel has over 15.8 million subscribers.

Nanao, known for anime song covers on YouTube, has previously engaged with Filipino audiences through covers of Original Pilipino Music (OPM) on Facebook, some surpassing one million views. She is currently studying English and Tagalog.

A debut single under the new partnership is scheduled for release around May 2026.
