Wasure Ranneyo Reveals Cover for New Anime Single 'Nannmo Nee'

Band Wasure Ranneyo has revealed the cover art for their new single "Nannmo Nee." The song will serve as the opening theme for the upcoming TV anime "Yani Neko." The cover features an original illustration by popular artist Yukishita Mayu, depicting the anime's main character.

The anime "Yani Neko" is based on the manga by Nyan Nyan Factory, currently serialized in Young Magazine. It follows the slacker life of a cat-eared humanoid named Yani Neko. The series premieres July 2, 2026.

The main promotional video for the anime, featuring a preview of the song, has been released. The digital single "Nannmo Nee" will be available globally on streaming platforms on July 2 via the official distribution link.

The anime's ending theme, "Smoke to Blue," will be performed by Necry Talkie. The full staff includes director Kimura Taku (Studio Lemon) and composer Suzuki Keiichi. The voice cast is led by Natsuyoshi Yuko as Yani Neko.

Wasure Ranneyo, a rock band formed in 2008 and now essentially the solo project of vocalist/guitarist Shibata Takahiro, previously debuted with the ending theme for the anime "Kaiji." The band has declared a goal of performing their first solo concert at Nippon Budokan in 2028.
