Grimes and Satapan-P Collaborate on 'Miku-Maxxing' for VOCALOID Project BEYOND BORDERs

'Miku-Maxxing' is a collaboration between Canadian artist Grimes and Japanese VOCALOID producer Satapan-P, whose track 'Yaba Iina' has over 16 million views.

The track features Hatsune Miku as the main vocalist.

BEYOND BORDERs is a joint Japan-US project run by Dwango. It previews the collaborative EP 'EMERGE M(HEART)DE MIKU', scheduled for September 2026.

The EP will feature other international artists including slayr, MOLIY, Odetari, George Clanton, Frost Children, and XAMIYA. Japanese VOCALOID producers jon-YAKITORY and picco are also set to contribute.

Los Angeles-based music venture Nebula17 is leading A&R and marketing strategy for the US market. Crypton Future Media, Hatsune Miku's developer, is also involved.

The 'Miku-Maxxing' music video depicts a digital 'Cyberland' collapsing due to glitches and corrupted code. It uses low-polygon visuals, animation, and mixed-media design.
