The Top 40 J-POP songs - Week 31 of 2024 – OnlyHit Japan Charts

This week's top 40 chart showcases some intriguing shifts, starting with the continued dominance of "Bling-Bang-Bang-Born" by Creepy Nuts, which holds the top position for the fifth consecutive week. Notably, there's a major new entry at number 2 with OneRepublic's "Nobody - from Kaiju No. 8," swiftly disrupting the standings. Meanwhile, King Gnu's "SPECIALZ" slides to third place after hovering at the second spot last week, while XG's "WOKE UP" follows closely, moving down into the fourth position.
BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy's "RATATATA" and several other songs show slight declines, such as Kenshi Yonezu's "KICK BACK" at six, and Fujii Kaze's "Shinunoga E-Wa" moving to seven. Ado's "うっせぇわ" debuts at number 20, marking another notable addition to the list. This entry displaces many tracks further down the chart, contributing to a ripple effect among the lower-ranking songs.

The midsection of the chart sees some tracks maintaining their positions, like "I Really Want to Stay at Your House" by Rosa Walton and Hallie Coggins, which holds steady at number eight. However, YOASOBI's "UNDEAD" drops down to 18, evidencing the shifts in listener preferences. The ascension of XG's "GRL GVNG," which climbs from 31 to 29, adds another interesting dynamic to the week's movements.

At the bottom of the chart, several new entries make their debut. Yuuri's "カーテンコール" enters at 32, followed by ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION’s "遥か彼方" at 33, and YUI's "again" at 34, illustrating a fresh turnover as these newcomers stake their claim. Meanwhile, other tracks experience downward movements, marking a week of both noteworthy debuts and strategic reshuffles across the chart.
