The Top 40 J-POP songs - Week 25 of 2024 – OnlyHit Japan Charts

This week's top 40 chart sees some significant changes, particularly in the top ranks. "WOKE UP" by XG climbs to the number one spot, dethroning last week's leader, "Bling-Bang-Bang-Born" by Creepy Nuts, which descended to seventh place. A remarkable leap comes from "SPECIALZ" by King Gnu, which catapults from number 30 to second place. Meanwhile, "オレンジ" by SPYAIR also rises, securing the third position.

Kenshi Yonezu's "KICK BACK" makes a strong debut at number eight, adding a fresh entry to the top ten. While there are debuts lower on the chart, like VK Blanka's "Black Catcher" at 33 and ATARASHII GAKKO!'s "Fly High" at 34, the standout newcomer is notable for immediately reaching within the top ten tier. Other new entries include "睨めっ娘" by 友成空 at 32, and "unravel" by Ado at 36.

Shifts further down the chart are less pronounced but still notable. "夢幻" by MY FIRST STORY and HYDE jumps to number 20 from 32, showcasing a significant upward movement. In some cases, songs like "鬼ノ宴" by 友成空 have experienced more substantial drops, falling from 7 to 15. On the other hand, tracks like "フライデー・ナイト" by natori continue a gradual ascent, moving up two places to 35. The lower part of the chart sees mostly new entries and smaller movements. It's worth noting that some tracks, such as "traveling - Re-Recording" by Hikaru Utada, have maintained their positions from last week, following a more stable trajectory at 31. Closing the top 40, Masanori Otoda's "fake face dance music" holds steady at the bottom, repeating its position at number 40 for the second week.
