The song details the aftermath of a night out, using the imagery of a tequila sunrise to depict post-party emptiness and lingering feelings after a breakup. ALBA wrote the lyrics based on her own experience with a severe hangover.

Veteran rapper AK-69 has championed ALBA, who blends R&B with hip-hop, Afrobeats, and Latin influences.

'Tequila' is out now. The track is available on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and other platforms.
