Classic Sci-Fi Manga 'Please Save My Earth' Gets Live-Action Drama on Prime Video

The classic sci-fi manga 'Please Save My Earth' ('Boku no Chikyuu wo Mamotte') will be adapted into a live-action drama series. It will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in fall 2027, streaming in over 240 countries.

Alice Hirose will star as Mokuren, a key figure from the characters' past lives. Director Takaomi Miki, known for films like 'Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight,' will helm the project.

The story follows high school student Arizuka Arisu, who discovers she shares dreams of a past life with her classmates. In these dreams, they were seven alien scientists living in a moon base, observing Earth. The narrative intertwines their intense past-life relationships with their present-day connections.

The production team includes VFX producer Satoshi Akabane, who won a Grand Prix at the Asian Academy Creative Awards for the Netflix 'Yu Yu Hakusho' adaptation.

Director Takaomi Miki

Composer Moshimoss will handle the music. The manga, written by Saki Hiwatari, was serialized from 1987 to 1994 and has sold over 16 million copies. A sequel chapter is currently being published.

The series is produced by THE SEVEN and Kadokawa Daiei Studio for Amazon MGM Studios.
