The song had been previewed in demo form at events like the 2026 SPOTV K-POP AWARDS. The final release features new arrangements. The group describes it as a return to their "GIRL CRUSH" origins.

The release was preceded by a fan-driven web project called "open your eye=sy." Over 15,000 fan missions were completed to unlock the song. A pre-save page remains active on the project's website.

New concept imagery released on October 26 features the four members in black and red styling against a backdrop of masked figures. The teaser text "New World: EPISODE 1" hints at a larger narrative.
