The Top 40 J-POP songs - Week 29 of 2026 – Only Hits Japan Charts

It's a week of stunning climbs and strong debuts on the J-Pop chart. Ado makes chart history as Love me forever! rockets from number 28 to claim the top spot, marking one of the most dramatic leaps to number one in recent memory. Meanwhile, YOASOBI's オリオン also makes a massive 23-place jump into the top 3. Last week's leader, CORTIS's REDRED, falls to number 2.
This seismic shift has impacted the entire upper tier. BLUE MOON by 9Lana experiences a sharp drop from number 2 down to 16, while several tracks, including Kenshi Yonezu's 烏 - Raven and POLKADOT STINGRAY's 逆様, slide down several places. In contrast, stable hits like King Gnu's AIZO and XG's HYPNOTIZE hold firm at numbers 4 and 5, respectively.

Five new entries land directly in the top 40, with AiNA THE END leading the charge as Blue Shining Star debuts impressively at number 7. It's followed by KISS OF LIFE's BREAK IT at 9, Eve's abyss in the world at 10, and Aimer's Live to Survive at 11. Further down, Daoko's TACTIC and tuki.'s SOS enter at 29 and 30.

The lower half of the chart sees two re-entries, with AiNA THE END making another appearance as 革命道中 - On The Way returns at 40. Other notable moves include Mrs. GREEN APPLE's new track 風と町 debuting at 37 and Creepy Nuts' Fright climbing three spots to 36.
