LV999 no Murabito Anime Sets July 2026 Premiere with New Trailer and Cast

The TV anime adaptation of the popular fantasy light novel series LV999 no Murabito (The Villager of LV999) will premiere in July 2026. The announcement was accompanied by the release of the first promotional video and a new key visual.

Five new voice actors were confirmed for the series. Hiroya Egashira will voice Takako, a martial artist and bar owner. Nobunaga Shimazaki is cast as Rex, a hero seeking to defeat the Demon King. Manaka Iwami will play Princess Kururu, a sage raised for battle. Aoi Koga voices Tina, a traveling monk. Lynn will play Parna, a mage from the royal capital.

The anime is based on the web novel by Tsukihoko Neko, which has sold over 3.8 million copies across its eight-volume light novel series. A manga adaptation is also ongoing, with its 20th volume scheduled for release on February 25, 2026.

Shimazaki, known for roles in Jujutsu Kaisen and Free!, noted he had been following the original story for over six years before the audition. Koga, the voice of Kaguya Shinomiya in Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, described her character Tina as initially timid but growing more reliable.

The story is set in a world where people are born with fixed roles and levels. It follows the weakest role, a "villager" named Kagami Koji, who has somehow reached the maximum level of 999. He meets Alice, the daughter of the Demon King, and they aim for coexistence between humans and demons.

The anime will be directed by Yoshinobu Kasai at Brain's Base, with series composition by Shinzo Fujita. The main cast also includes Keishi Inomata as Kagami Koji and Nao Toyama as Alice.
