Japanese Artists the cabs, Necry Talkie, luvis, TAMIW Perform at UK's The Great Escape Festival

The Great Escape Festival in Brighton hosted an official showcase titled "Inspired by Tokyo" featuring four Japanese acts. The artists—the cabs, Necry Talkie, luvis, and TAMIW—performed at the DUST venue on May 14.

The showcase was a collaborative project by Columbia Marketing, FRIENDSHIP., Spincoaster, TuneCore Japan, and The Orchard Japan.

the cabs opened the event. Their set began with "anschluss" and included a new song, "paris, our."

Necry Talkie followed. The crowd recognized "bloom," the anime theme song from "Scott Pilgrim Takes Off." The band performed choreography for "Hokujo no Susume" and engaged the audience with call-and-response during "CHAKAPOCO." Their set concluded with "Oshare Daisakusen."

In a solo set using guitar and laptop, luvis performed "Journey,"
