TV Anime 'Salty-Sweet Sato-san' Sets October 2026 Premiere, Reveals Cast

The popular light novel series 'Salty-Sweet Sato-san' (Shio Taiou no Sato-san ga Ore ni dake Amai) will premiere as a TV anime in October 2026. The series has sold over 1.5 million copies.

A new key visual and character promotional video were released alongside the announcement. The visual features the main characters, Satou Koharu and Oshio Souta, alongside newly announced supporting characters.

The additional voice cast was confirmed. Tomita Miyu will play Sudou Rinka, Kobayashi Chiaki is Misono Ren, Aoyama Yoshino is Misono Shizuku, Kanemoto Hisako is Nedzu Mayo, Matsumoto Yasunori is Oshio Seizaemon, and Wakai Yuki is Murasaki Enka.

The anime is based on the light novel by Saruwatari Kazami, published by Shogakukan's Gagaga Bunko. The character designs are by A Chiki. Yoshimura Fumihiro directs the series at Tezuka Productions, with series composition by Aoshima Takashi and music by Narita Shun.

The story follows Satou Koharu, a class idol known for her cold demeanor, nicknamed 'Salty-Sweet Sato-san.' Her classmate, Oshio Souta, discovers her clumsy, sweet side when she visits his family's cafe to photograph desserts. The series is described as a 'sweet and salty' youth romantic comedy.

A Japan-only pre-screening and stage greeting event is scheduled for September 20, 2026, in Tokyo, featuring main cast members. A lottery for tickets is now open via Lawson Ticket.

The anime's official website and app have added a new 'Logo Shaker' feature that lets users create custom logo-style images.
