Japanese Producer Tadd Kagatsume Joins Recording Academy's Class of 2026

Japanese composer and producer Tadd Kagatsume has been selected as a Voting Member for the Recording Academy's 'Class of 2026'.

Kagatsume, who is also a tourism ambassador for his hometown of Matsue, Shimane, is now a Voting Member for the 69th Grammy Awards ceremony scheduled for February 7, 2027, in Los Angeles. The Recording Academy's official Instagram account featured him in its announcement for the new class.

The Recording Academy, which organizes the Grammys, has approximately 13,000 Voting Members globally.

Kagatsume's production credits span over 500 songs. He has worked with artists including Sakurazaka46, SKE48, and Little Glee Monster, composed for films and dramas, and contributed music to anime series like My Hero Academia. He has also received multiple Gold Disc awards from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.

Kagatsume said he hopes to apply global standards to Japan's music scene and promote his home region of Shimane.
