Kanzaki Iori's Hit Vocaloid Song 'Inochi ni Kirawareteiru.' Gets Novel Adaptation

Kanzaki Iori's signature song, 'Inochi ni Kirawareteiru.' (I'm Hated by Life.), will be published as a novel on June 24, 2026. The Vocaloid track has hundreds of millions of views on YouTube.

A special promotional video was released to mark the announcement. The PV features a newly recorded version of the song. A ballad version sung by Kanzaki Iori is included as a purchase bonus for the physical book.

The novel is based on the artist's own experiences. The story, set against the backdrop of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, explores themes of bullying, a fractured family, and a search for meaning. An excerpt was previously published in the literary magazine 'Spin.'

Kanzaki Iori's debut novel, 'Ano Natsu ga Hōwa Suru.', sold over 280,000 copies. Total sales of their books have surpassed 480,000 copies.

The novel 'Inochi ni Kirawareteiru.' will be published in print and as a simultaneous e-book release. The print edition is priced at 1,540 yen.
