Nao Yoshioka Announces Global Soul Album 'self' with Bilal, Jamila Woods

Nao Yoshioka will release her sixth album, 'self', on July 17, 2026.

Collaborators include Philadelphia neo-soul artist Bilal, Grammy-winning producer Peter CottonTale, Chicago poet-singer Jamila Woods, and trumpeter Keyon Harrold. Other collaborators include Devin Morrison, Australian producer MXXWLL, UK vocalist Sam Wills, and artists from Ghana, Vietnam, Sweden, Germany, and Taiwan.

Yoshioka described the album as an act of 'album therapy'.

Tour dates include US shows in late May 2026 at venues like Rams Head On Stage and Ronnie Scott's in London in September. A Japan leg runs from October 18-23, 2026, with shows in Fukuoka, Tokyo, Osaka, and Sapporo.

Five singles will precede the album, starting with 'In the Rain feat. MXXWLL' on February 27, 2026. 'Shadow feat. Bilal' is set for April 17, and 'Safe Place feat. Jamila Woods' for June 5.

The album 'self' will be available globally via digital distribution. It is released on her label, SWEET SOUL RECORDS.
