Until the Chores-Inflicting Mage Realizes His Own Strength TV Anime Announced for 2027

The popular web novel series Until the Chores-Inflicting Mage Realizes His Own Strength (Zatsuyou Fuyo Jutsushi ga Jibun no Saikyou ni Kizuku made) will receive a TV anime adaptation. It is scheduled to begin broadcasting in January 2027.

The series has sold over 3.5 million copies of its light novel and manga volumes. The anime will be produced by J.C.STAFF, with direction by Hideki Okamoto and series composition by Takahiro Yoshioka. The main cast includes Reiishi Kawashima as Vim Strauss and Kana Hishikawa as Heidemarie.

Original author Bō Takura, manga artist Shin Arakawa, and original character designer Eiri Shirai provided celebratory comments and illustrations for the announcement.

To commemorate the announcement, a global Kindle promotion is running from March 20 to April 2, 2026. Volumes 1 and 2 of the light novel are free, while volumes 3 and 4 are discounted by 50%.

The music for the anime will be composed by Yuki Hayashi, Luke Standridge, and Asa Taylor.
