YOSHIKI to Receive International Citizens Award, Live Streams and Global Citizen Festival Appearance Announced

YOSHIKI will receive the International Citizens Award from the Japan-America Society of Southern California on September 17 in Los Angeles. The ceremony and a performance will be live-streamed globally on his YouTube channel.

Past recipients include Shohei Ohtani. Baseball player Rintaro Sasaki will receive the Next Generation Rising Star Award at the same event.

Two days prior, YOSHIKI was the only Japanese speaker to appear for a third consecutive year at Dreamforce 2026 in San Francisco. He discussed AI, art, and ethics in a session with Paula Goldman, Salesforce's Chief Ethical and Humane Use Officer.

On September 21, YOSHIKI will return to Japan for a day, with another live broadcast scheduled from 19:30 JST.

He will then travel to New York for his first appearance at the Global Citizen Festival on September 26. He is set to perform at Central Park's Great Lawn alongside artists including Ms. Lauryn Hill & Wyclef Jean, Lenny Kravitz, John Legend, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER. Actor Hugh Jackman will host.

The award ceremony stream begins on September 18 at 11:00 JST with red carpet coverage, followed by the award presentation and performance at 13:00 JST.
