Ayase Releases First Solo EP 'dialogue'

Ayase, the composer and producer for YOASOBI, has released his first solo EP. The five-track project, titled 'dialogue', is out now on all major streaming platforms.

Ayase handled all songwriting, composition, arrangement, and vocals for the EP. He described the work as a collection of songs that represent a dialogue with himself. All tracks are non-tie-up songs.

The lead single 'うるさ' was released on May 20. The full EP includes the title track 'dialogue' and 'PLANETS'.

To coincide with the release, Ayase launched a new official YouTube channel. Visualizers for all five tracks premiered on the channel at 8 PM JST on May 27.

In a statement, Ayase said the EP represents feelings he couldn't ignore after seven years as YOASOBI's composer. He credited support from his staff and loved ones for giving him the courage to release the work. "YOASOBI and Ayase will both get even more serious from here," he wrote.

The EP is available globally via a universal link. The visualizers for 'うるさ', 'bad therapy', '火花', and 'dialogue' are also available on Ayase's YouTube channel.
