HYBE's DARK MOON series launches 'The Witch of Yelasa' with &TEAM

HYBE Japan has launched a new transmedia story project, 'The Witch of Yelasa,' within its DARK MOON universe. The project is a collaboration with the group &TEAM.

The story focuses exclusively on werewolves, a first for the DARK MOON series, and follows their growth and a reincarnation romance. It is a prequel to 'Dark Moon: The Altar of the Moon' and a sequel to 'Dark Moon: The Grey City.'

Content rollout began on May 18 with the first of seven video episodes on the official DARK MOON YouTube channel. New video episodes will be released every Monday. A full web novel will be published on May 20 across platforms including NAVER SERIES and Japanese ebook stores. Starting May 22, linked visual artwork titled 'Bloodprints' will be posted weekly on the series' official X account.

Story elements from the project appeared in &TEAM's MV for 'We on Fire' and concept photos for their 3rd EP. An animated music video for the EP's track 'Bewitched' was released on May 11.

HYBE said AI was used only for implementing movement in the videos, with people handling the story, direction, and art.

The DARK MOON YouTube channel and the DARK MOON LYCAN X account are the primary hubs for the content.
