Record of Lodoss War Spin-off Webtoon Launches Globally

A new spin-off webtoon for the foundational Japanese fantasy series Record of Lodoss War is now available worldwide. Record of Lodoss War: The Queen of the Dead launched on July 31, distributed in over 150 countries and regions via global WEBTOON platforms and services like ebookjapan.

The series is produced by STUDIO WHITE, a joint venture between KADOKAWA, LINE Digital Frontier, and South Korea's REDICE STUDIO. It is an original story set long before the main narrative, following a young man named Tein whose village is attacked by ghouls. The story is adapted by Southern Camel with art by Blanton, based on the original work by Ryo Mizuno.

It was first released in South Korea in May 2026.

The series can be found on ebookjapan and global WEBTOON services.
