The Top 40 Pop songs - Week 08 of 2026 – Only Hits Charts

This week’s chart is dominated by massive gains and major returns. Olivia Dean’s "Man I Need" rockets to #1 as a re-entry, claiming the top spot after last week’s absence. The most dramatic climb belongs to sombr’s "Homewrecker," soaring 29 spots to land at #6. SIENNA SPIRO also makes a powerful move, with "Die On This Hill" jumping from #9 to #2.
Last week’s top two songs have shifted. Harry Styles' "Aperture" falls from #1 to #11, while Olivia Dean’s "So Easy (To Fall In Love)" drops from #2 to #12. Other notable slides include sombr’s "12 to 12" (down from #5 to #21) and Lady Gaga’s "The Dead Dance," which re-enters at #16 but remains well below its peak position of #9.

Several new tracks debut directly into the chart. Charli xcx’s "Chains of Love" leads the fresh entries at #18, followed by David Guetta, Teddy Swims, and Tones And I’s collaboration "Gone Gone Gone" at #19. Daniel Caesar’s "Who Knows" and ZAYN’s "Die For Me" enter at #25 and #26, respectively.

Re-entries are a major theme, impacting nearly a third of this week’s Top 40. Alongside the new #1, Sabrina Carpenter’s "Tears" returns at #7, and KATSEYE’s "Gabriela" makes a significant 12-spot leap to #8. Taylor Swift sees multiple songs return, with "Elizabeth Taylor" surging from #39 to #14.
