GATE SEASON2 Ending Theme, Singer Selected from VOCALOID, Utattemita Events

The ending theme and singer for the 2027 anime GATE SEASON2 have been selected from public submissions to two major online creator events.

The production committee chose the song "Anata no Kioku (Your Memory)" by creator Doa no Nobu. The ending will be performed by singer Sora no Umi. Both were selected from the "The VOCALOID Collection ~2026 Summer~" and "Utaodo Collection 2026 Autumn" events respectively.

Doa no Nobu's song was submitted as a Rookie entry to "VocaColle 2026 Summer" in August.

Sora no Umi won first place in the Rookie ranking of "Utaodo Collection 2026 Autumn" with a cover of "Karappo e".

Doa no Nobu received a 700,000 yen award for the song selection. Sora no Umi received a 300,000 yen award as the "GATE2 Award" winner.

In a statement, Doa no Nobu said the song was not originally written with GATE2 in mind. "I wanted to express lament and resignation over something precious being lost over time," the creator wrote. "It's a strange fate that it won an award and was adopted as the ending."

GATE SEASON2: Jieitai, Kano Umi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri is scheduled to air in 2027. It is a sequel to the 2015-2016 series where a gate to a fantasy world opens in Ginza, Tokyo. The new season follows Maritime Self-Defense Force members on a submarine mission in a distant sea of the special region.

The first promotional video has surpassed 2.18 million views. Ending visuals and broadcast schedules will be announced on the official website and X (Twitter).
