Witch and Mercenary TV Anime Sets April 2027 Premiere, Reveals New Visuals and Cast

The popular light novel series Witch and Mercenary (Majo to Yōhei) will premiere as a TV anime in April 2027.

The series has sold over 1.7 million copies of its novels. The story follows a solitary mercenary and a feared witch who form an unlikely partnership to find a place to live.

Eisaku Kawanami (The Aquatope on White Sand) is directing the anime at studio 8bit (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime). The main cast includes Taito Sak as the mercenary Jig and Saori Hayami as the witch Cearsha.

Yuri Noguchi will voice Isana Gayhorn, a second-rank adventurer known as the "White Lightning Princess." Daiki Mineta plays Alan Close, a fourth-rank adventurer and party leader. Haruka Shiraishi voices the mysterious, eyepatch-wearing third-rank adventurer Elcia Armet.

Three voice dramas and two short stories, supervised by the original author, are available now on the anime's official website and the Bandai Namco Filmworks YouTube channel.

Witch and Mercenary is scheduled to begin its broadcast on Nippon TV's network of 30 stations and BS Nippon TV in April 2027.
