Virtual Artist Geppaku Lui's VRChat Experience Selected for Raindance Immersive 2026

The VRChat immersive experience Project [ latent ] // archive_, featuring virtual artist Geppaku Lui, has been selected for Raindance Immersive 2026.

The work is a reimagined archive of Geppaku Lui's March 2026 VRChat live performance, latent. It is produced by the creative studio MIGIRI.

The experience reconstructs an anomaly that occurred during a performance by a character who can only be perceived by others through digital tools.

A global premiere is scheduled for June 13 at 21:00 JST within VRChat. The event, capped at 50 users per session, will be followed by a Q&A session with the artist. An April re-screening of the work drew over 6,500 simultaneous connections on the platform.

Raindance Immersive 2026 will feature the work both online in VRChat from June 13-21 and at an in-person XR showcase in London from June 23-25.

The creative team includes director Takaomi from MIGIRI and executive producer Task Watanabe from Sony Music Entertainment.

Geppaku Lui's character lore involves a girl with a condition that renders her invisible to others unless viewed through a digital interface. Her story is set in an orphanage for children with unusual abilities.
