Netflix will release the series 'Kokumin Quiz' globally on December 17, 2026. The production company THE SEVEN, behind 'Alice in Borderland', is adapting the legendary manga previously deemed unfilmable.

A new teaser and the full 16-member supporting cast were announced. Takayuki Yamada stars as K.I. K.Ichi, the charismatic host of a national quiz show in a parallel Japan. The government grants any wish to quiz winners, from erasing criminal records to building private nations, while losers face forced labor.

The teaser depicts a society狂热 for the show, featuring 8,000 extras. The supporting cast includes Riko Ishida, Kana Kurashina, Koji Seto, Eiko Koike, and Renji Ishibashi.

Director Teruyuki Yoshida and writer Magy are helming the eight-episode series.
